Best Photo Album Scanning Service
Our photo album scanning service is something that most photo scanning services don't offer. Why? Because it is a service that takes time, patience and some pretty good equipment along with skill!
Let us scan your photos in situ or remove them for you, you decide. Our services below offer flexible scanning options. Don't see what you want? No problem, just message or call us to discuss.
We will scan your photos in your albums, remove them from your albums for you, or simply scan each and every page of your albums(s). This is probably one of our most sort after services that we offer. It can sometimes be hard to take apart a photo album, especially if it is an old family album that you just want to preserve a digital copy.
Album Scanning Options
Scan & Crop £0.50p per photo
Each photo within an album is scanned cropped and enhanced individually. Customers get a scanned file for every photo in the album. This is a life saver for photos that are glued or stuck into albums where they are just too fragile to remove.
Album Page Scan £0.80p per side
Each album page side is scanned & cropped to capture everything on the page. Each page side is saved as an individual file and saved within the album folder. This is a great option for albums with any captions or notes, or for people who simply want a full copy without going to the expense of having each photo individually cropped.
Removal & Scan - £0.35p per photo
If your photos can be removed from the photo album(s) but you would rather we did this for you - no problem! Send your albums to us and we will remove the photos & scan them. We don't replace photos in the album(s) but place them in an envelope by album and return.
How Our Process Works
We scan, fix colour & crop, so your scan looks great. Scans are saved to folders - see FAQ's about folders. We email an invoice with costs the moment completed. Upon payment, photos are returned with your choose of disk, USB or a download.
You now have your album photos scanned into digital format & saved for the future. It is now easy to view your images whenever you wish on your computer or TV. Now, all that is left is for you to enjoy & maybe share with family and friends.

Do I have to count all of the photographs in my album(s)?
No, not at all! Don't worry, just give us an estimation and we will finalise the count when we scan the photos and send you over an invoice upon completion
Will you scan my photos or photo pages in order?
Yes we do. We will scan your album photos so that each photo/page is in the order that they are presented in your album(s).
Will my album(s) be saved into individual folders?
Yes they will be. Each photo or album page will be scanned as a separate file and stored within a folder with either the album name or number if a name isn't present.
How long will my photo scanning order take?
Turnaround times for photo albums will depend upon the number of albums and photos within. Photo Albums will take time to scan because they need to be handled individually and with a lot of care. We will always let every customers know approximately how long their order is likely to take. We will also keep customers update as to where we are with their order.
At what is DPI do you scan Photos in albums & album pages
As standard, for photo Albums we scan at 400 dpi. This is more than adequate unless you wish to make large prints 4 or 5 times larger than the original. Should you want a higher dpi, 600 or 1200 no problem, it is a slower process therefore the cost to scan is higher. Just contact us via our contact form or call us to discuss.
Will you crop the white borders off my old photos in photo albums?
Our standard crop is to the edge of the scanned photo. If you want white borders cropping back so only the photo image shows, no problem. Just let us know in the order form special instructions area and where applicable we will crop white borders off.
Can you scan photos that have a copyright, e.g. wedding photos, school photos etc, taken by a professional photographer.
Yes we can if you have the photographers permission. If you send copyright photos, we will assume you have permission to have them scanned.
Where do I send my Photo Albums for scanning when I have packaged them up?
We send you our address once you have placed an order. We don't put our address on the website only because we prefer to know when a customer is sending their photos to us and when we should expect them. Therefore we ask for either a phone call, email, or order on line to let us know your order is coming. We let you know the moment your photo album(s) have arrived.
How should I send my photo albums to you for scanning?
Very good question! Firstly, box up your albums as securely as possible with plenty of packaging, e.g. bubble wrap, paper, cardboard, etc. We recommend that you check out parcel2go.com for some great courier prices. We use UPS and DPS as our preferred couriers, we have not had any issues with either courier.
